1. PRESENT SIMPLE TENSE - อะไรที่เป็นจริง (Fact) อยู่แล้ว 

How to use : แค่พิจารณาว่าจะเติม s/es หรือไม่เติมที่ Verb ดี

V. to be :

He/ She/ It is

I am

You/ We/ They are

V. to do :

He/ She/ It does

I/ You/ We/ They do

V. to have :

He/ She/ It has

I/ You/ We/ They have

กรณี V. to do ตัวอื่นๆ

เติม s/es ที่ V. (กรณีคนเป็น He She It / สิ่งทีนับไม่ได้ / อย่างเดียวหรือคนเดียว)

–Jaime lives in Thailand 

You seems tired.

I feel happy.

*seem และ feel เป็น linking verb ที่ต้องตามด้วย Adj.

–They are musicians.

–Is more expensive always better?

–We always meet at Siam.

–Sally often calls home from work.

–Some people still think the earth is flat.

2. PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE - กำลังดำเนินอยู่

ใช้ V. to be + -ing

Keyword : เจอ now หรือ At the moment (ตอนนี้)

–The children are getting fat.

–I am googling the my name at the moment.

–They are doing some shopping.

–Are you kidding me?

–I’m working on your request.

–The wind is blowing.

–The movie is showing in the theater near you.

–This week the weather is changing.

–The temperature is rising today.

–The world is being crazy.

–We are having fun.

  –Now I’m living in a big city.

** V. บางตัวห้ามใช้ในรูป Continuous

- know - I know that... (ถ้าใช้ -ing = I'm knowing แปลว่า ฉันกำลังรู้ มันจะแปลกทันที)

- feel - I feel happy (ไม่มีแบบฉันกำลังรู้สึก- I'm feeling)

ข้อแตกต่างของ Present Simple 

และ Present Continuous

Present simple เน้นที่ 'ความจริงที่ถาวร'

พูดง่ายๆคือ อะไรที่มันเป็นจริงของมันอยู่แล้ว

Present continuous เน้นที่ ‘ดำเนินอยู่แค่ตอนนั้น’ 

พูดง่ายๆคือ มันเกิดแค่ตอนนั้น...ไม่ถาวร

*ดังนั้น เมื่อเราใช้คำกริยาคำเดียวกันกับ tense ทั้ง 2 นี้ ความหมายของคำกริยานั้นก็จะ

มีความหมายและนัยที่แตกต่างกันทั้งๆที่เป็นคำกริยาคำเดียวกัน เช่น

 I live in Bangkok. (เราอยู่มานานแล้ว)

 I am living in Bangkok. (กำลังเริ่มต้นใช้ชีวิตอยู่ในเมือง)

อีกตัวอย่างนึง

The temperature rises in Summer. (หน้าร้อนมันเพิ่มของมันอยู่แล้ว)

The temperature is rising. (อาจมีคนเบาแอร์)
